Phillips Lumea | Laser Hair Removal

Sponsored Post

Ever cut yourself shaving? Had a facial bleaching disaster? Come out in an awful rash after epilating or had an awful break out trying to wax those pesky top lip hairs? Well, if you answered yes to any of the above, this blog post may be of interest to you as Philips offers you the perfect solution for all your hair removal needs.

Hair removal is just one of those mundane tasks us ladies have to carry out alongside other grooming methods (unless of course you take an extremely natural and laid back approach…). So if there is ever a way to make these tasks a little easier, I'm sure we'd all be interested. Bleaching, waxing and even shaving are all at-home methods used to get rid of unwanted hair, but women can now say farewell to these temporary solutions, with Philips Lumea Precision IPL hair removal system. This hand held device is a long term hair removal system which is suitable to use on the face and the body, leaving your skin wonderfully smooth without the need for any of the usual regular hair removal rituals. Lumea Precision works by using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology that has been used in salons for over 15 years. Most IPL devices are only designed to be used on the body as facial skin is so much more delicate and sensitive. So it's great that Philips designed this with a facial attachment with an extra UV filter to offer new levels of safety and prevent skin reactions (which none of us want).

So how does IPL work I hear you ask? With the simple push of a button, gentle pulses of light produce heat, which travels down the hair follicle. The follicle is then stimulated into a resting phase and as a consequence, the hair sheds naturally and regrowth is inhibited. You need to use once a fortnight for 8-10 weeks and then once you are hair free every 4-6 weeks. The finished result is beautiful smooth skin everyday! Available in Boots and John Lewis for RRP £450.
