Earth to Zoella?

P1430061Howdy Ho (ho ho ho). My, it has been a while. Probabaly a month or so has it not? *slaps wrist*
So where have I been and what on earth has been going on in my not-so-exciting life these last few weeks?

Well, let's break it down into bulletpoint form so it's easier on the eye ;)
  • I got ill. Twice. I had the horrible Fluey/cold/virus thing for a while, it managed to subside...and then it came back worse & fighting. I have literally only just started tasting my food again and being able to breathe through both my nostrils.
  • I have been working a lot more. Retail + Christmas = more shifts & any time i wasn't working, i was buying christmas presents, shivering under my duvet or seeing my boyfriend.
  • I have been buying presents, thus not having as much money to spend on myself and nice things to blog about. Ho hum.
  • I restored my laptop to it's new born setting & then I no longer had any editing software...
  • After restoring my laptop, it decided to play havoc...it would freeze every 20 minutes, and the only solution was to reboot...every. 20. minutes. It drove me insane, and made trying to write a blogpost absolutely impossible.
  • I then got a virus. Yes...the dreaded "Antivirus" virus. I could do NOTHING on my laptop. I tried literally everything & because it was a mutant virus, it wouldnt let me open anything. I eventually managed to sort it out, so feel free to email me if you get the same problem and i will try to help you haha.
So there we have it, my list of what could be described as excuses for not blogging. But fear not, now that i have my laptop back in working order after weeks of it playing up & i am no longer a shivering mess, i can finally get on the interwebz and edit photos and be around a lot more, and also, i have been snowed in today so I am writing this from the comfort of my room whilst the snow pelts down outside. I don't want to say too much about the snow, it's a very controversial subject (especially on BBC Radio 2 if any of you have been listening to that today? Not my usual choice of radio station but I had no say in the matter - It involved Lorry drivers shouting at screaming car-driving mums...) although, i will say, that it's the perfect setting for Christmas, as much of a pain it is to drive in (I have been slipping about all the place), I do love snow. Makes everything look so clean and pretty and Christmassy.

More blog posts to come my pretties.

General Update & Chit Chat

Howdy Doody you lovely lot. It's been a while, and for that, I do apologise. You know when life get's manic, and you feel like you only have time to eat and sleep & your creative juices have run dry and you have a serious lack of motivation? Yeh, that's exactly what happened. You know it's time to sit down and write a blog post when your mum says "Zoe, you've not blogged in ages..."
I know that some people can still bosh out blogposts even when they are lacking in blogging enthusiasm, but I just can't do that. I like to sit down, and enjoy what I write about, and feel a sense of satisfaction once I hit that "publish" button, and although that sometimes means I don't post in a while, I hope that sort of makes up for it. *batters eye lashes*

So where have I been & what have I been up to?

Well, first and foremost, the summer has well and truly scarpered. We had a lovely late summery burst a few weeks ago (see photos), but now the cold and drizzle has arrived. *depressed sigh*. I do love autumn though, I love the crispy golden leaves and the build up to Christmas (yes, I love Christmas, A LOT), but I hate grey, drizzly days. Even if it's chilly, everything is so much better when the sun is out.

Now, I would like to say ANOTHER massive thank you to those of you who voted for Zoella in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards, and I'm absolutely over the moon that I won "Best Established Beauty Blog". Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the awards ceremony but it looked like everyone had a fantastic evening & I'd also like to congratulate everyone else that was nominated and who won awards themselves. All very well deserved :) Makes me proud to be part of such a supportive community.

I have also been working on mine and Louise's (Sprinkle of Glitter) new venture. Which I'm hoping will be out in the open in the next few weeks and certainly in time for Christmas. All I'm saying is keep some money aside whilst buying everyone else's Christmas presents because I'm fairly sure you will want in on it. ;)

I have thoroughly been enjoying searching eBay for cake decorations and nail art decorations, not for any particular reason other than both are super cheap and pretty. I have also been scouring eBay & the local charity shops for winter knits. I did this last year, and I'm fairly positive I didn't spend anything over £6 for any of my winter cardigans or jumpers. You can honestly save so much money doing it this way, and nobody else will be wearing the same thing as you. I'm thinking of doing a post about charity shopping, a bit like my "Shopping in Primark" post, so let me know if this is something you'd be interested in reading. I know that charity shops aren't everyone's idea of fun, but once you find something you love for really cheap, it almost becomes addictive.

I have a lot of things I want to blog about in the up and coming weeks, so expect to see a lot more of me in your dashboard.

Someday Summary - Sunday

That title is quite the mouthful. I dare you to try and say it 10 times over without slipping up...let me know if you did it ;)

The photoframe above is a picture of me and my dad when i was about 3. On a beach in Cornwall. I love it. I look so crazed.

I'm sorry these posts are quite frequent. I actually really enjoy writing them because they fullfill my desire to blog without me sitting here slaving away over a long, photo galore blog post. Although some days, i do love to do that for you, so I won't neglect them don't fret.

♥ Today has been pretty poop. I feel tired, frustrated & very unappreciated by people closest to me. I'm one of those people that tries to sprinkle everything rubbish with a bit of positivity, but today I am running low on the tinkerbell dust & quite frankly, I could do with a cuddle.
♥ I am loving that winter is creeping up. I am the biggest fan of hot chocolate, and finally, I can start cracking open the cadburys hot choccy, marshmallows and whipped cream. It also means cosy nights under blankets and in your comfiest jimjams & candles everywhere. It also means Christmas is not far away!
♥ Chocolate Teacakes - 89p from Lidl. Sunday life saver ;)
♥ Anybody watch Piers Morgans Life Stories with Cheryl Cole last night? I know a lot of people have a lot of love for Cheryl, me being one of them. After watching the programme i definitely just ended up loving her more. It's so easy for people to judge her and they seem to forget she's only human like the rest of us, dealing with normal shit but under a magnifying glass. I must admit, i shed a few tears. It was very touching & definitely had me wandering why the people you love can so easily hurt and betray you. It also left me wandering if Ashley Cole was sobbing into a box of Kleenex on his own feeling like the biggest idiot in the world.

Someday Summary - Thursday

♥ I've started backcombing my hair again. I went through a stage recently where I haven't felt the urge to grab my little brush and backcomb the life out of my roots (plus, it's pretty bad for the hair so you shouldn't do it too often anyway, and if you do, use more hairspray than backcombing-ness) I think it could have been down to the fact someone stole my backcomb brush (or more likely that I lost it) so i have to use a small barrell brush which isn't as effective but it'll do :) Above are the three stages of me doing my hair. Freshly washed (although backcombing works best when hair is unwashed), backcombed and sprayed, then smoothed down, and finally curled with my straightener for added oomph.
♥ Spent the night in London seeing the boy, he slipped me a little envelope with some post it notes in it that he had written at work. I definitely looked a fool wiping happy tears from my face on the train home. They were adorable. I love little gestures like that, they're my favourite. Big smiles.
♥ I've done so much walking today. I pretty much ran 10 minutes to the shop near the boy's flat to buy food supplies, then ran back again (I was running late and was supposed to be meeting him on his lunch break) then i ran to the tube station...only to find the Jubilee line was shut right where i needed to go..so after 3 line changes I finally managed to get to Bond Street, where i then ran to meet Wilf. We had a rushed 20 minutes then i had to run off to Paddington to get my train home, which again, was a longer way round as the blummin' jubilee line was shut. Ran to my train only to realise once i was sat down...I still had Wilf's flat key. So, once i'd arrived at my home destination, i ran across town to the Post Office (Thinking it would shut soon as i needed to send Wilf the key) and then i realised it shut an hour later. Bought me some dinner in Iceland & my Grandad offered to drive me home from town, so i then walked 15 minutes, up hills...to my Grandads. I've literally only just sat down. I have figured though, that's it's all good for the junk in my trunk (yes, i may be small, but my bum still wobbles haha)
♥ Loving black nailpolish at the moment.

Someday Summary - Friday

♥ Found these photo's of me being a total poser with some geek glasses a while back. when i was waiting for the boy to come round. I quite liked my long fringe, it's sort of making me want it back, and i almost trimmed my fringe today too. Thnk i'll leave it.
♥ Had a proper sing song to Ellie Goulding's album today. Probabaly one of my favourites of 2010. I don't think i will ever get bored of it. Although i would like her to release another one to fullfill my Ellie Goulding needs. Thanks Ellie...if you're reading.
♥ Aside from singing along to Ellie Goulding i have been in such a rubbish mood. Totally uninspired, drained, unmotivated and generally just down in the dumps. Hate days when i feel like this, they drag.
♥ Went and bought ingredients to make a banana & milk and white chocolate cake. I think i'm addicted to it..when it comes out of the oven and it's still warm and the chocolate is all melted (i'm quite literally drooling right now)
♥ I have been having REALLY vivid dreams recently and a very disturbed sleeping pattern. In fact some of my dreams have involved some other beauty bloggers (ooer) haha. I hate vivid dreams, they really freak me out and i wake up wandering if it really happened or not. Although i did find these sleeping facts very interesting...

Someday Summary - Monday

I've seen a lot of people doing Monday Summary's (Or those of you who do a different day of the week summary) and i thought since I had a somewhat strange day and possibly have a bit more to say than normal, i would do one. I don't know if it will be a regular thing, but let me know if you think it should be. I will call it "Someday Summary" as it will never be one specific day :)

♥ I am wearing this Primark Bow, bought for £1 and i have had so many compliments on it. It cheered me up.
♥ My boyfriend made me smile a lot today
♥ I've been drinking too much Raspberry Ribena..it is by far the best drink ever.
♥ An Indian man randomly came into the shop today & started telling me about my life. He talked about my past relationship and my new one and what i had in store for the future. Then he just left. He was weirdly accurate. It freaked me out a bit, but even if this man was speaking gobbledygook, it put me in a somewhat positive mood.
♥ Currently reading LLYMLRS and Anchors Ahoy
♥ Burning candles now that it's getting more wintery & I'm loving it. I am a huge candle fan. My room is filled with them, so finally i can dust them off and BURN BABY BURN.

One good thing about Summer, is the Strawberries. I love strawberries, I could quite literally eat the entire strawberry field. Nom. Nom. My Mum & I went Strawberry picking the other week, and these were the photo's, I thought you might like them. Unfortunately, there aren't as many strawberry fields to go and "pick your own" anymore. They're all slowly becoming very rare, which I think is such a shame as it's such a nice thing to be able to do. Get Strawberry picking whilst the strawberries are still in season.

Just my Luck.

This is a slightly different blog to normal. More a breakdown of the last few days I've had, and the chaos it involved, of which I thought I'd share with you.

You know those days where NOTHING goes right? When everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong and you end up laughing about it because you were just SO UNLUCKY? I had 2 of these days, one after the other. After the 48 hours were over, I was so frazzled. I looked just like a cartoon character that's been through hell and back. Bags and dark circles under the eyes, hair sticking out everywhere, torn clothes & grubby feet (I hope i'm painting you a pretty picture here).

So me & my boyfriend both had a week off from work and so planned to head up North to surprise his mum for her birthday & to see his little sister. Now, most of you will know that I live South West of England, and we were heading for Lincoln. It was around a 4 and a half hour car journey & we went in my little Vauxhall Corsa. I'd like to point out here that my car has always been an absolute nightmare, (I liked to nickname it the Flinstone Mobile) and so actually arriving seemed like such a miracle. We had a great few days, where nothing went wrong (besides me loosing every game of Bowling - I'd like to put this down to bad luck, but i'm sure the reality is just that everyone, including W's 9 year old sister was better at bowling than me). On the Wednesday however, my luck turned for the worst. Driving back from a day in Nottingham (an hour away from Lincoln) on our way to watch his sister perform in a show, we heard a strange noise coming from my car, a lady pulled up next to us at a roundabout junction and told us "Your tyre is MEGA flat y'anno". No. We didn't know...and there was nowhere to pull over to sort out this issue. So, we had to drive, on a flat tyre until we found somewhere to pull over. The lady was right, my tyre was as flat as a pancake, and there was a delightfully massive screw nestled deeply into it. My first thought was "Holy crapola...do I even have a spare tyre..or a car jack?". Turns out I did. THANKFULLY. Using it however, was a different matter. My boyfriend being a man, managed to figure it out in the end, with the help of some random car park patrol man with "mam" and "dad" DIY tattooed to his hands. So, new tyre firmly on, we could go on our way? Well, no. The new tyre was also flat. This was a serious dissapointment...we drove again, with a flat tyre to a garage where we pumped it up. Thankfully it was just low on pressure. After this, it was far too late to make his sister's show, which was so frustrating but at least we were back on the road and the problem was averted. Driving back after sorting the tyre, the oil light flashed up. Great. No oil. We got back and topped it up ready for the long drive home the next morning.

The next morning came, and we checked oil, water, topped up petrol, checked tyre pressure, made sure we had enough cheesy pop cd's to get us through 5 hours and a few snacks and drinks and we were on our way. I had popped on a new pair of trousers that W had ever so kindly bought me from Primark the following day in Nottingham, and there was a MASSIVE hole in them down the side seam, which I hadn't noticed at first, but got gradually worse throughout the day. I wasn't overly bothered, nobody would be seeing me, I'd only be in a car for 5 hours. I'll get home, and take them back. No biggy...yeh right. As soon as we set off, my oil light flashed up again, even though there was clearly enough oil in the engine. We got about an hour away and my car started making very odd noises. I checked the temperature..everything was normal...so we carried on. We were planning to come off the M1 at junction 19, but missed the exit, and so W turned to me and said "Oh, don't worry, we can get off at the next one"...to which I responded "Okay...slight problem though...we're slowing down". Yes, on the M1. My flinstone mobile DIED. It clattered and clanked and made an awful banging noise as it came to a stop. Luckily my gut instinct kicked in and I swung the car into the hard shoulder in the split second I had before my car stopped. There was smoke coming out of my engine, and obviously because I'm a dramatic idiot and have clearly watched too many films, I started shouting "GET OUT GET OUT THE CAR!!" I then promptly burst into tears. We called from the SOS box to let them know we'd broken down. I then spent £140 for the AA to come and get us off the motorway and take a look at my car. (I didn't have any breakdown insurance, so joined the AA there and then, which I think is actually pretty bloomin' good, I didn't know you could do this). The police turned up to check what was going on, and told us we needed to stand behind the barrier for safety reasons. I stood behind the barrier...on a red ants nest...in flipflops. My feet were absolutely bitten to buggary.

£140 later, after being bitten by hundreds of red ants, standing in my ripped trousers, after being towed off the motorway, I was then told I had so much wrong with my car, it may not even be worth fixing. I've fixed my Flinstone Mobile, around 3 times now, and when it gets to the point where you're spending just about as much fixing it as you did paying for it in the first place, it's just not worth it. We were 100+ miles from home, I had hardly any money left in my bank (payday was the following day), I literally had no idea what to do. The garages were all closed so it looked like we'd be spending the night/weekend in a Travelodge. Eventually, I decided it was probably best to scrap my car. W got on the case, using google to find numbers for car scrappers near where we had ended up (by Leicester/Rugby). The AA man kindly dropped us off at a Travelodge so we could scrap the car either tonight, or tomorrow morning. Because it was my "lucky" day, OBVIOUSLY the Travelodge had absolutely NO rooms available. Yes. FACEPALM GALORE. We walked to a local pub and had something to eat as we were both starving then went back to the car and packed up everything in it (including my car mats and my cd player) into black bags. Thankfully some local car scrappers (who were the chuckle brothers of the car scrapping world. One had a big beer belly spilling over his joggers and peeping out underneath his too-small t shirt and the other had "orgasmic" something or other on the front of his t shirt and "camp dave" on the back) popped over to take a look at it and took it away. I must say, shamefully I felt very teary watching my first little car being taken off for absolute peanuts.

So there we were, a suitcase, a big pink bag, my handbag, 2 bin bags and 2 umbrellas, no car and we didn't know where we were or how to get home. We decided that getting a train was our best bet. We got a taxi to Rugby and caught the 22.12 train to London Euston. Once at London we caught a tube to the nearest station possible (most tube lines were closed as it was so late). So we decided to catch a taxi the rest of the way. Now, I did start to think (surely this day couldn't get ANY worse) turns out it can when you get into a taxi with what can only be described as the scariest driver in the world. Either that or he was quite literally drunk. He was driving like an absolute maniac. We were being flung around in the back of the taxi and I really did start to think "That's it..we're going to die".

Thankfully, we didn't die...It just left me feeling extremely sick. I cannot tell you how much of a relief it was to lie down at the end of what I can only describe the "worst-luck-i've-ever-had" day. It will definitely be a day I will always remember and one that will always make me laugh. At the time, it really wasn't funny, and anything that could have gone wrong, went wrong, but I'm home and I'm safe.

Things I have learnt over the last 2 days:

-Don't travel with things in your car that you don't actually need - I had to carry random crap home in bin bags, all because I was too lazy to remove things from my boot.
-Travel with as many of your car documents as you can at all times, you will need them if you ever need to "spontaneously scrap your car". It means they give you more money for it.
- You don't need 2 umbrellas in your car
- Always check you have a fully inflated spare tyre, and PLEASE get someone to show you how to change a tyre, then once changed, get the flat replaced to store as another spare.
- I need to practice driving round cities & large roundabouts. (I was a nightmare)
- Red ants like to nest alongside the motorway, so don't wear flipflops, just in case you break down.
-Just because there is smoke coming from your engine, doesn't mean it's going to catch fire and kill you. You aren't in an action film.
- Primark is cheap for a reason.
- Always get breakdown cover for your car, especially if it's a Flinstone Mobile. Saying to yourself "Naaah, that won't happen to me" unfortunately does not mean it won't.
-Rugby has a lovely train station.
-When a taxi driver winds down his window and you get a face full of cigar smoke and a load of mumble jumble, do not get in his taxi, he will most probably be drunk, or a maniac & will also overcharge you.
-I'm never buying a Vauxhall car again.
-I need to scrub up on my bowling skills.

Under The Weather

(source Google)

Hello everyone! So sorry I've not been around very much recently. I've been really unwell for the past week, although i'm now on antibiotics so will hopefully be right as rain in no time. As I've hardly left the house (except to visit the doctors), I fear I may start to go a little crazy. I thought I would list some things that have really cheered me up this week, so that if you are feeling down, or unwell, you may also find comfort in some of them, or maybe one or two might put a smile on your face!

The above images! How adorable is that little pug, I just want to squish him. You may also know how much I adore guinea pigs, so the picture above was a nice reflection of what I have been doing for 7 days! (minus the hay)
I made a naughty Mac online purchase. The new collection is so beautiful I just couldn't resist. It was a little treat to myself. I'll be sure to show you once Postman Pat delivers it (my postman is not actually called Pat, just for the reference).
THIS video by JoeyGraceffa and the beautiful Tanya Burr also put a smile on my face. It makes me want to get up, sandwich myself in between them and bop along!
Reaching over 151,000 subscribers on YouTube. That is MADNESS and most certainly put a smile on my face!
Pinterest has also been a nice distraction. You can add me if you like, I mostly just repin cute animals, quotes and delicious looking food.

"Oh Mr Penguin, you are TOO funny"

My dads homemade pie. Last night my dad made me the most delicious pie i've ever eaten! Just what I needed to make me feel more human.
Supportive chums. My friends have been super lovely and made sure i've been feeling okay this week. You know who you are! :)
Now, as LAME as this may sound, I have been thoroughly enjoying my "Videos with Louise" playlist on YouTube. As you may, or may not know, you can create playlists on your youtube channels, and so EVERY single video that Louise and I have ever filmed together (that's my channel and hers), I have compiled into one long playlist. This was obviously not for my benefit, but mostly just subscribers who like to watch our joint videos, but I have been re-watching them and they have really cheered me up. If you would like to watch 7 hours, 26 minutes and 55 seconds (!) of pure "Louella" then hop on over haha
Baths. I have been having more baths than normal, as my temperature has been a bit all over the place, so it's nice to just relax in a nice deep bubble bath!
No makeup skin. I've not worn ANY makeup for a week now, and so my skin is really thanking me for it and it looks clearer than it's looked in a long while. I also think my new skincare addition may have something to do with this. ;) (all will be revealed).
Keeping up with the Kardashians. I do love me a bit of cheesy TV, and i've been watching all the episodes (old and new) of this disgustingly gorgeous family. They make me chuckle, and it's easy (and addictive) to watch.

I'll leave you with this quote, which has pretty much summed up my week. I've been wearing nothing but Pj's and comfy clothes, and I don't care! It will be a slight shock to the system when I have to wake up and choose ACTUAL clothing to wear. I've forgotten how to look nice to be honest. haha. Hope you're all having a better week than me and if not, I hope this has cheered you up somewhat!

Someday Summary - Friday

Yes. More of my geek glasses, and oh look, a geek to accompany them.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY IN 3 DAYS!
On the 28th March I'll be 21 years old. I know, I know. I don't look 21. I'm sure I will continue to be I.D'd for 18 films and cigarette paper (not for me might I add). I will still have my I.D questioned by bouncers outside nightclubs and bars and always quizzed on my postcode and middle name. Lot's of people call me "doll face". I'm thinking this is just a nicer way of saying "baby face". I'm not going to lie, I'd love to wake up on Monday morning with a mountain of cards and the postman knocking on the door with a huge bunch of flowers and helium balloon for me, however, this will not happen. haha. We can dream though right? I'm still not 100% sure of what i'm going to do on my Birthday. I didn't realise quite how indecisive I was. Whatever it may be, I will be sure to capture it and update you.
I was seriously so overwhelmed by the massive response to my last post. It had the most comments ever ever ever in my blogs entire history (I think). I'm so glad that so many of you could relate. I also love that it reassured you that you weren't the only ones. I know it reassured me immensely. I sat and read through every single comment, and felt a great accomplishment knowing i'd made so many of you feel so much better. I know it can be a pretty touchy subject, but 99% of you knew exactly where I was coming from. :)
I'm getting slightly bored of my blog. It's very basic and messy and just not very...advanced or well-put-together. If any of you techy-whizzy-geeks out there fancy designing me something or giving me any tips or ideas please feel free to email me. I'm definitely stuck in a rut. Also, what do you lot think? What is my blog lacking? I need your expertise and advice as you are obviously the ones who read it.
I am SO happy the sun is coming out, and I have decided this weekend that if the sun still has his hat on, I shall be whipping out the maxi dress and flipflop combo. Too early?
Just want to say a little (well, massive) thank you to everyone who follows my blog. I don't say it often, and I probably should, but I appreciate every single one of you; even if you don't follow my blog, but come by every now and then to check up on it. I also have over 14,000 subscribers on YouTube now, and this astonishes me. I swear i'm dull as dishwater?! I'm so pleased that so many of you enjoy reading/watching my rambling nonsense.I don't really understand it, but it makes me very happy. haha. I never was very good at speeches or public speaking. Now you can see why. *blushes*

Someday Summary - Saturday

I'm sorry i've not updated in a while. I've been working like a mad woman & had various other things going on with my life. Some not so enjoyable & others slightly more positive. I'm super pleased that the sun has decided to rear it's little head today, sprinkles a bit of happiness about the place doesn't it...unless of course you are Edward Cullen, in which case I feel sorry for you.

I slept on my neck funny last night. I'm not sure how I do this, but this is the second time in about 10 days in exactly the same place. It's SO painful. I have a constant slant to the right. I look like a weirdo. If i try and keep my head straight, it just hurts. I need someone to give me a damn good neck massage. My sleep pattern has been well and truely messed up due to the fact i've had a crappy few weeks, and my mattress is so hard and lumpy that it was starting to give me bruises on my hips. Forking out for a new mattress certainly wasn't on the agenda. If I had the spare cash lying around for such luxuries, I definitely would have, but alas, I do not. My Gpa (thats grandad) came over & flipped my mattress for me & then my lovely Nan bought me a mattress topper. They obviously felt sorry for this little princess and the pea, although in this case, no princess and no pea just masses of springs and various other metal contraptions & an average girl. So, i've finally started getting a decent nights sleep. I say this, but i was awake from 10pm-4am last night after napping at 8pm & awoke with a wonky head. Just great. Can anyone suggest any pillows or anything which might help? I've heard that memory foam ones are good.

I've started with YouTube again. I know it's not to everyone's taste, and that some of you may think "why is she bothering?", but i recieved so many emails and messages from people asking me to come back, and i feel like sometimes it's easier for me to show you things via video. Maybe even this way I can do a few hair tutorials as the thought of capturing any form of "tutorial" through photographs was quite the chore & would have been extremely tedious. I still absolutely despise the way I sound, the things I say & the stupid hand gestures and faces I make, but obviously I cant help that. haha. I have also discovered that I say "Like" and "Literally" far too much...It's literally like so annoying. ;)
I lost a lot of confidence over the last year, and it's only really now that I can sit down in front of a camera & feel brave enough to upload it for you anyone/everyone to see. I've decided not to let any negativity affect me, and with anything on the internet, there will be some. Go and subscribe if you want to, obviously you dont have to but it would be nice if you did. Might be nice for some of you to see me in 3d...moving and that. Do let me know what you want me to do videos on. I have a feeling this time i'll stick around.

I'll leave you with a few photographs that I have saved as little reminders which have made me feel a lot better about myself recently. Bit psychological, and unlike me, but I thought i'd share them with you as they might have the same effect on some of you, which would in turn, make me happy.

Someday Summary - Sunday

♥ Using my spin dryer is definitely going to become a much regular styling method from now on. I get asked a lot to do a "demo" on how to use it. Besides a video of me with my head upside down looking a fool & you not really being able to see what i'm doing, i'm not overly sure how I can demo how to use it. I just blowdry my roots with a normal hairdryer, then tipping my head upside down, I take my hair into three sections and use the spin dryer. Thats it. Oh, also use a mousse. Vital.
♥ Vintage scarves are also going to be appearing on my head & just generally on my person a lot more. They are so easy to tie up in your hair, and I think they make outfits that little bit more interesting. When carboots start up again, I am definitely going to be buying some more.
♥ I need ideas on what to do for my 21st Birthday in 2 months time. I literally have no idea. Do I go away? Have a party? Have a sophisticated do? Go out for a meal? I kind of want to do something a bit...different. Ideas would be lovely thankyou please :)
♥ I've become addicted to mini milks. Could literally eat a whole box in one sitting i'm sure of it.
♥ Loving Adele's new album as well as her. She is hilarious. So down to earth and normal. Probably one of my favourite singers for sure. If you dont have her new album yet, i'd definitely urge you to get it. You won't be dissapointed.

Someday Summary - Wednesday

♥ After walking past the "Hummingbird Bakery" on Portobello Road in London too many times, and never actually stopping to investigate, I decided that last week, whilst visiting, I was going to go in & make a spontaneous purchase on cupcakes. I absolutely friggin love cupcakes. I never get enough time to make them, and mine never come out as amazing as the ones they have to offer, so I did treat myself. I think the one's I purchased were £1.95 each. They are of the basic vanilla & butter icing variety, but they did have other fancy ones. To be honest, I felt a little overwhelmed & felt like the ladies behind the counter were thinking "Hurry up woman, they're only blummin cupcakes, pick some". I'd also like to add, they were DELICIOUS & I definitely urge you to visit. If anyone knows anywhere besides "The Hummingbird Bakery" in London that offers scrumptious cupcakes, do share.
♥ After my last blogpost on Charity Shopping, it inspired me & the muvster (that's mum), to hit the charity shops. So that is exactly what we did today. We went to 4 different towns, and about 10 different charity shops (call us crazy if you must) and I picked up a fair few amazing garments, and a nice amount of books that some of you had reccommended to me after my book post. I will post up on my finds if you so wish.

♥ Whilst out today, we went into a little gift shop & I fell in love with the Valentines "Juicy Lucy" range. There were cards, chocolates & other little bits and pieces. I wanted all of it, but alas, I only have one boyfriend & so more than one card could be deemed somewhat naughty. I did buy a little pack of "Filthy Fairy Notes". Don't be alarmed, I do have a slight sense of humour & when it comes to silly things like Valentines day, you definitely won't see me buying huge cards with hearts all over them & gag-worthy lines like "To the one I love" or "To the very special man in my life". I'd rather buy something slightly less cheese. Some of these were surprisngly "filthy" but some were a little more softcore haha. So, If you're like me, and you prefer to have a slight laugh & not take Valentines too seriously or cheese-fest-ingly (Yes, i think i just made this word up) then check out the website. Or, yanno, if you do like being a big cheeseball, just stick to a 5ft teddybear.

A few of the cards they had that I liked. How adorable is the peanut one? haha
♥ I think I have a slight obsession with Jessie J. I've been following her on Youtube for what seems like years, so for her to now be playing on the radio is madness. I'm ever so pleased for her. I must admit, I find her mannerisms slightly distracting annoying but her voice is absolutely amazing. I've been listening to this song over & over, and I'm guessing it's going to be on the album in March as she's called it "Who You Are". Listen & Enjoy.
♥ I have also been a little obsessed over Iphone Photography apps. Mainly Instagram & Pudding Camera - Both free :) If you are a bit of a photography enthusiast & love photos with a retro/vintage feel, I urge you to get these Iphone apps and have a play around.

Someday Summary - Saturday

Sorry that i'm updating you on my not-so-exciting life again this evening, I wanted to show you a few bits i've bought recently but I got back from work & it was dark, so that will have to wait until tomorrow when I can actually take some photos in good lighting.

♥ The photos above were taken last night, My brother (Joe) was off to a masquerade ball and I was off out for drinks with my girlies. We don't have many photo's together, and any that we do have, are either stupid or old. Look how much we've changed! In the old photo, I believe I was about 5 & Joe was probabaly 3 or 4. I do hope you appreciate my crazed expression (I promise i'm not posessed) & my equally terriffic jumper. I just want to squish my brothers chubby little cheeks. I also find it quite funny that aged 5, i am sporting naturally ombred hair...
He will be off travelling on Wednesday & I've helped to create a blog so he can document his antics. So follow that HERE. Nothing on it yet, but he will be doing a post before he goes, and obviously posting lots whilst he's away for 3 months.
♥ My week is getting slightly better since Wednesday's "Bleurgh" post. Lots more work & distractions & a few hours of peeking sunshine.
♥ I have rekindled my love of Ebay. This is never a good thing. First purchase of the year on ebay is an oversized, vintage farm yard animal jumper. Not everyone's cup of tea i'm sure, but I would quite like to wear it with leggings, my boots & a bit of a messy barnet up-do. I'm sure i can work those farmyard animals somehow.

Someday Summary - Wednesday

Last photo left in for comedic value. I wasnt even aware I could make that shape with my mouth.
♥ BLEURGH. This is how I am currently feeling. Just bleurgh. January is just so depressing. It's always the worst time of the year for me. No real reason, I just hate the weather, the lack of money etc etc. Even when the sun breaks through a dark horrible cloud on a very rare occasion I am instantly cheered up. I guess i'm one of those who's mood is greatly affected by weather, and because of this I have decided that I definitely need to either hibernate through the crappy first few months of the year OR move somewhere warm every winter. ;) This week has just been a pile of poop. Everything is going wrong. I need something good to happen before I self destruct.
♥ Anyone else think that Wednesday nights are the worst for good tv. Whilst doing my every-10-minutes-channel flicking in order to find something half decent to watch, I came across "Never Been Kissed"on E4. Great film. Gotta love those 90's chick flicks. What's your favourite?
♥ Excited for Adele's new album. Very excited in fact.
♥ I now have a tripod, so I can start attempting to do some half decent-ish outfit posts. Hoorah!

Someday Summary - Wednesday

Happy mid week Wednesday. I am currently sat, tapping away on my laptop in a darkened room, lit by my lamp..at 2.45pm. I honestly cannot wait for summer to come back. Lighter mornings, lighter evenings, picnics & summer dresses. Yes please.
Absolutely loving having my appetite back, and i'm most certainly making up for it. I am also delighted that Mini Eggs are back on the shelves. I don't know if any of you are aware, but I am absolutely addicted to the little blighters, so when Christmas has gone, I know it's about time they come back into my life. I could literally eat a whole bag in one sitting. Maybe i should do a blogpost dedicated to my love of mini eggs? no? bit sad? haha.
My brother is going travelling for 3 months on the 19th. He's going to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Figi & LA. I'm definitely starting to feel jealous, especially with all this crappy weather. If any of you have any advice or want to chat to him about travelling, i'm sure he'd appreciate it. He has twitter so feel free to follow him @Joe_Sugg.I've told him he needs to start up a blog so he can log all his photos and travelling antics. Speaking of which, another of my friends is currently travelling with his girlfriend, and some of his photos are seriously amazing, so if you're into photography, culture & general travelling-ness do have a read HERE. Tell him Zoe sent you ;) I'm sure he'd be chuffed.
It's my 21st birthday in March (eeeek) so I've been pondering on what to get for it. There's always the option of jewellery, or a designer handbag, something sort of predictable, but I'm definitely leaning towards a DSLR. I've always been a huge photography geek.(I once had a wall in my bedroom absolutely covered in black and white photos & studied it) so I think it would be something I could really make the most of & keep and treasure just as much as i would a necklace etc.. It will also be super beneficial for my blog, I know that my digital camera has served me well, but actually not having a manual setting makes taking photos such a mission on dark, gloomy days like today. I'm definitely too much of a perfectionist when it comes to my photos, but I hope you're all grateful for that? haha. It would definitely mean more frequent posts anyway. So, this is where you come in. DSLR reccommendations? I'm sort of leaning more towards a Nikon rather than a Canon, but i know they are both great brands. Tips, tricks and general know-how about DSLR's would be very helpful if any of you can spare a few minutes in the comments? :)

Christmas & New Year

So, after writing my previous post about being MIA because of illness, it seems that i totally jinxed myself. After getting over 2 furious colds over the space of 3 weeks, i then got struck down with full on flu the week before Christmas. I spent almost a week in bed, unable to move, sleep or eat & Christmas Day was the biggest struggle ever. Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year, we get to meet with family, drink, eat and be merry. But, alas, my illness ruined it. Even putting my clothes and makeup on was a huge struggle. I'm still not 100% better, the flu-ness has gone, but now i am left with a lovely chesty cough which just won't budge, but at least my appetite has returned and i can make up for all the Christmas food binging i SHOULD have been indulging in. *takes a bite of a chocolate santa* Besides lying on my Auntie's sofa all day, not being able to tuck into the turkey and trimmings and feeling like poop, my Christmas was still as fabulous as it could be & i got some lovely gifts.

A few days before the flu struck me...however I do look disgusting in this photo anyway. Where the hell has my top lip gone?

Not even too sure why i'm posting these, but this is me, with flu on Christmas Day. For some reason my head looks TRES fat in the second picture...i'm not sure why. I'd lost loads of weight and was in fact pale and skinny looking...gross.

Looking slightly more "me" despite the delicious handlebar moustache on New Year's Eve. Good times had by all.
Hope you all had an amazing Christmas & New Year. I don't really have any resolutions, I've never been one to make any, i just live life as each day comes & try to make the best of whatever is thrown my way. There's nothing i need to specifically change, possibly to eat more healthy but I don't think deciding this on the 1st of a New Year means i will almost DEFINITELY stick to it. I didn't get to stuff my face with Cadburys Roses or Cheeselets, so i'm doing it now. ;) Healthy eating can wait.
Thankyou to everyone who joined my blog in 2010, and hopefully 2011 will see a slight improvement in my blogging skills, as well as more frequent postings and a lot more outfits.
