Previous Nights Glad Rags

Some of you may have watched me & my friend Becca getting ready for a night out on BlogTv a week & a bit ago now. Sadly, i took hardly any photos, so i have waited for some to surface on facebook so i could show you what i wore.

I appologise they aren't "Lookbook" standard but you get the general idea?

[pretty sure my friend would KILL me if she knew i posted this. I don't look that dapper myself, but it shows my shoulder up close. The things i do for you guys. P.S Check out my "claw"]

[Me & Josh..erm..why is my bum sticking out so much? As far as i'm aware..i was standing pretty normally]

What I wore...
Dress: New Look
Tights with small silk bows on back of ankles: QS (yeh..cheap as chips)
Suede high heeled Boots: New Look

I'd also just like to note that i wore the "Nicola" lashes from the girls aloud range, and have come to the conclusion i hate them, they don't suit my eye shape at all...unless i had a dud pair..they just looked ridiculous, and i wouldn't say my eyes were too small either. Very strange.

Show Orchid

Last night I went out with my girlies. In all honesty, I didn't leave much time to spruce myself up. I had no time to wash my hair so sat and thought what the heck i could do with it in it's current (not so fresh) state. I went for a somewhat Pixie Lott/Cheryl Cole do; Backcombing it and simply putting it up in a pony tail with a center parting. Very quick and very easy!

It was the Cheryl Cole hair inspiration which brought me onto the makeup. Cheryl is known for her bright pink lip, and as i own the Mac Lipstick Show Orchid (which I haven't shown some love for in a while) I decided to opt for that. Obviously having a bright lip means dulling down on the eye makeup, so i kept that fairly neutral.

Face:
♥ Mac Studio Fix Fluid & Mac Strobe Liquid mixed together (essential for a glow in the winter)
♥ Mac Moisture Cover concealer
♥ Benefit Erase Paste in no 1 under eyes/inner corners
♥ Bare Escentuals Foundation in Medium Beige lightly dusted to set
♥ Mac MSF in So Ceylon on cheeks/cheek bones
Eyes
♥ Mac E/S in Nano Gold all over lid
♥ Mac E/S in Espresso in crease
♥ L'oreal Superliner in Carbon Gloss
♥ Maybelline False Lash Effect Mascara
Lips
♥ Mac Show Orchid Lipstick (pro product)

And here are a few poopy webcam shots so you can see my hair a bit better! :)

Something A Bit Different...

I was feeling slightly more creative, and sometimes i think it's nice to experiment with the makeup you have in your collection, so i came up with this...
I'm not going anywhere, i was just bored :)
I may resemble Katie Price in a few of these, i'm putting that down to the thick falsies and hair...
Or, some may think i resemble a transexual..well..meh, i quite like it. :)
Obviously wouldn't wear it to the supermarket but it's pretty amazing for a night out.

On my Peepers...
♥ Mac Blackground Paintpot in outer 2/3rds of eye and making point/flick and through the crease.
♥ Illamasqua Sealing gel on eyelid
♥ Illamasqua Static pigment on eyelid
♥ Stila purple shadow (dont know the name - eek) over blackground paintpot
♥ Mac Carbon E/S in outer corners of eye
♥ 2true eyeliner in inner corners of eye
♥ Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Solstice in inner corner, under eye and used as brow highlight.
♥ Cheryl Cole Girls Aloud Lashes

On the Smackers...
♥ Art Deco Lip Base
♥ Gosh Darling Lipstick

And here's a photo without a bright white flash...
My hair looks so long..sheesh.
Hope you like it, it's a little more out of my comfort zone, but still wearable i'd say :)
Give it a go!

[Fed up of photos turning out rubbish]

Lips

♥ Illamasqua Obey Lipstick
♥ Mac Baby Sparks Dazzleglass on top

I had so much trouble with taking a photo of myself today. I just hated all of them & almost gave up.
In this very last photo it's my "URGH I GIVE UP" face :)
and in another i think i look pretty fed up.
I like this look, but none of my cameras really gave it ANY justice. I used 3!
I used my webcam last, just so you could see it zoomed out a little bit, and with my hair :)
& i actually prefer the webcam shots albeit a little yellow...

I lovelovelove these nars shadows. They look amazing on.

FOTN & The Night.

Eve'nin all.
I went out for my GORGEOUS maties birthday last night.
Some of you may know her, Alex (Lexaloo_x on twitter)

Here is my face...lol

I was feeling ugly and didn't really do much. I just did smokey eyeliner. I don't do this very often..and annoyingly, in the photos they dont look very smokey. But they were...and guess what..yes, i had proper panda eyes after a few hours.
Why does liner head south?
even with primer..and liner..and set with shadow...grr
I also wore my new Illamasqua Lippy in Obey.
Not until about 2 hours later though (felt like a change)
I'm actually wearing Mac's Hue lippy with Florabundance lipglass on top in the above photo.

And here are some snaps from the night...

[This photo is actually in dedication to the extremely LOVELY american girl, who decided to try and post a comment saying my hair looked like Donald Trumps toupe.
I was truley flattered, and me and my friends thought we would style our hair just like his..just for you!
Thankyou for the inspiration (sadly i dont know your name, you chose to hide behind anonymous..surprisingly) I also wanted to hold up my middle finger..but being the photographer & ladylike..i did not ;)]

Haha
Had a fabby night, wish i could have stayed out longer but i was being a big helper today working with my dad (He's a builder/carpenter/general busybody)
So, in the words of Ella, i became Bob the builder today...in my pumps & harem pants.
I was SO dirty at the end of the day.
Fun. Fun!

My 21st Birthday

Pre-warning : Very picture heavy post :)

How scary do I look here? ha.
Thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday. I was overwhelmed. I will admit, getting lots of Birthday messages is quite satisfying (in a possibly quite selfish way haha) but it is the one day of the year that is supposedly "all about you". Although I do share my Birthday with Lady Gaga, but I think I can cope with that.
For those of you who have been following my blog and twitter for a while, you'll know that I was having a really hard time trying to decide on a 21st Birthday gift. I decided to opt for a DSLR. Ever since I was 17, I've wanted one, but have always had to make do with a nifty little digital camera. It took me quite some time trying to decide which model/brand to go with. You ask someone who owns a Nikon, they say Nikon, you ask someone who owns a Canon, they say Canon. Although when doing all my research and handling them in various shops what felt like hundreds of times, I decided that I liked the Canon EOS 600D (It's called something else internationally I think). I believe it is a fairly new model, but I am already in love with it.

I had a fabulous Birthday, which sort of took place over the whole weekend aswell as my actual day of birth. On Sunday we had family round, and I got to use my new camera. The cake was ordered from Patisserie Valerie, and let me tell you, it was as delicious as it looks. Mum bought little sparklers for it, but we had great trouble trying to light them, and once lit, they burnt down quicker than you could light another. It was quite hilarious. The framed print above was a present from my parents, it's little sketches of the City I live in/very close to. If any of you are familiar with Bath, it is gorgeous and extremely quaint. I love this print, I'm going to keep it forevs. It was bought from a street seller on the main High Street if anybody living close by, or if you're visiting wants one.

On my actual Birthday (yesterday) I had quite a relaxed morning, just opening cards and pressies. Me and Mum sat out in the garden and had our lunch, then like the old lady I have turned into, I had a nap due to the late night before, but also, who wants to go out with giant bags/dark circles undernearth their eyes? Some of my friends came over and we then all headed out to Jimmy Spices in Bath. I enjoyed myself immensely. Lot's of laughter and good times had by all. I didn't take my Canon out though, i'm too scared i'll break it. I'm pretty sure alcohol, heels and a brand new DSLR do not mix well. We watched some drunken girls making absolute fools of themselves. One completely flashing her buttocks and boob (including nipple flash), then falling flat on her arse at least twice and failing miserably to walk one foot in front of the other out of the door. How shameful. haha. All in all, A fabulous evening and an amazing 21st Birthday.

Cake - Patisserie Valerie
White Shirt - Primark
Rollers - Sallys
Playsuit - H&M
Blazer - New Look
Shoe Boots - New Look
Bag - Primark
